Positive reviews of DuroStar DS13000E:

  • It works as it should but is a little hard to start if it hasn’t been used for a while.
  • I chose the Ds13000e to run my entire home. I chose the gas only model to reduce complications with dual fuel parts. I wasn’t going to be using propane anyway. I just put 100 hours on it after a hurricane came through and it performed flawlessly. I used the 50amp recepticle to backfeed my breaker box. I was able to run everything in the House EXCEPT the AC. However I was able to run multiple portable AC units. My home AC (4 ton) would trip. I guess I under estimated the power needs to run it. Not the fault of the generator. I did follow the maintenance guidelines and changed oil every 20 hours. I also did an initial oil change after running it a few minutes incase there was anything inside leftover from manufacturing. The oil drain plug size is 12mm x 1.5 and I would recommend getting a Fumoto Drain valve to make the frequent oil changes painless. I got a full 8 hours of runtime out of a tank of gas. May actually be longer, I didn’t want it to run out while under load. I think it’s actually fairly quite for its size. No issues powering with sensitive electronics. My only gripes are the grounding post on the front panel is small and hardware is soft metal. The gas tank gauge sticks, but if you knock on the tank it frees up. The wheels are slightly cambered in now that I’ve put it to use.
  • I bought that in case of power outage as we’re in Texas… I can either charge my car (Ford Mach E) or run the whole house with AC. 2600 sqft. Our AC condenser has a min amp circuit recommendation of 22amps. We have a portable AC 1200W in our room and I was able to run it at the same time. I would say it’s a bit loud (a bit more than a mower) but definitely worth the price.
  • The only problem is the item came almost a week and a half late from the shipping and delivery date.

I’m sorry, but I cannot browse the internet or access specific reviews. I can provide general information about the DuroStar DS13000E if you would like.
