When Ian knocked the power out, I started the generator, plugged in the house, and had flawless operation of my entire house for a grand total of 48 hours. Then the generator backfired and stopped, never to start again. My mechanic looked at it a couple days later and said it dropped valve in the cylinder, so she’s dead. Reliability is the ONLY thing that matters for a generator, and this one fails the test miserably. I would not recommend this generator to anyone. A catastrophic engine failure at 54 hrs? Please.

I didn’t expect it over night of course, I was just hoping to have power again two weeks ago, when they promised it.
